The Marine Sports Fishing Club Menola Izola has been active since 1993 and is the largest Slovenian association dedicated to marine sports fishing in Slovenia. We have the status of an association of public interest and are an integral part of the Slovenian Marine Sports Fishing Federation.

For most of our members, sports fishing is just a form of recreation, but we also have top-level competitors. In our club area, we keep awards for numerous excellent placements achieved by our competitors in cup, national and international championships.

The association runs a fishing school for young people. The school is led by one of our experienced competitors. We teach young fishermen the basics of marine sports fishing and competitive skills in the disciplines od shore fishing and boat fishing with a rod.

For many years, we have been known for organizing the Menola Cu pand in recent years, we have been holding the Menola Fishing Marathon in August. The Menola Marathon is popular competition among sports fishermen and is the most difficult marine sports fishing competition.
