Visits can sometimes be a tricky thing. Especially in the classic situation portrayed in Vinko Möderndorfer’s new comedy: when a young couple in love visits their partner’s parents for the first time. To make things even more awkward – and therefore even funnier for the audience – both parents are single: the young man was raised by a single mother, while the young woman introduces her fiancé to her widowed father. Naturally, both parents are possessive and jealous, welcoming the young couple with fears and prejudices. And because these are so familiar and recognizable, they become even more hilarious. In addition to a whole range of stereotypical complications, which both couples tackle in a fresh and amusing way, there is also one that touches a nerve in Slovenia today. The conflict between left and right. It almost seems that everyone will end up alone – but then, the mutual visits lead to a surprising twist. The premiere of the comedy will be directed by the author himself, Vinko Möderndorfer.
