L’elisir d’amore (1832) Gaetana Donizettija sodi med najuspešnejše in najbolj priljubljene komične opere 19. stoletja. Zgodba o preprostem Nemorinu, ki v iskanju ljubezni poseže po »čudežnem eliksirju«, se razvije v niz duhovitih, a tudi presenetljivo ganljivih priL’elisir d’amore (1832) by Gaetano Donizetti is one of the most successful and beloved comic operas of the 19th century. The story of the simple Nemorino, who in his search for love turns to a “miraculous elixir,” unfolds through a series of witty yet surprisingly touching scenes. With his characteristic melodic lightness and exceptional sense of dramatic pacing, Donizetti creates a work in which comedy naturally intertwines with lyricism, reaching its peak in the famous aria Una furtiva lagrima.

The opera will take place on Friday, 7 August 2026 at 9:00 PM at the open-air cinema Arrigoni Izola, performed by the Pehlivanian Professional Opera Academy.
