The new book by musician and traveller Alen Steržaj, also known as a member of the band Big Foot Mama, is an adventure about searching for a route to the “end of the world”. The journey begins at Ljubljana railway station over a burek and ends in Jayapura, Papua – at the far edge of the continent before the vast ocean. Along the way, it covers thousands of kilometres and passes through numerous foreign countries with “unusual” cultures and bizarre customs, monumental human-made and natural wonders, as well as unpredictable, stressful and dangerous situations that subconsciously push the author towards a deeper understanding of himself and his own physical and psychological limits.

The book GORA NI ZADETA was nominated for the Krilata želva 2026 award as part of the Velenjica literary prize.

The book will be presented by its author, Alen Steržaj, who will also be joined by his manager.

The book presentation will take place on Thursday, 12 November 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Izola Cultural Centre.
