Plateau is a band of four young musicians who connected through their shared passion for music at the Novo mesto high school. Their story began in 2018 under the name Gšprnžmrtn, originally a trio consisting of Gašper, Anže Repovž, and Martin. At one concert, where they performed only covers, they invited Andrej as a guest—he fit in perfectly, marking the start of a new chapter for the band.

Driven by a desire to create original music, they decided to record an album. Within their first year, they created 13 original songs, which they presented at their debut solo concert at the event V petek zvečer. In 2021, they entered the Špil Liga competition (organized by Kino Šiška), winning the first round by both jury and audience vote, along with the award for best lyrics (Neimenovana). After repeating their success in the semifinals, they reached the final in Ljubljana, where they achieved second place.
