We would like to inform you that, due to the organization of the traditional public event Fishermen’s Festival in Izola on 21 and 22 August 2026, the organizer, Centre for Culture, Sports and Events Izola, in accordance with the permit issued by the Municipal Office for Economic Activities, Investments and Public Utilities of the Municipality of Izola for the temporary closure of municipal roads, will implement the following full road closures:

Phase I

From Thursday, 20 August 2026, at 6:00 a.m. until Sunday, 23 August 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

• Closure of Sončno nabrežje, Lonka car park, Veliki trg, Krpanova Street, and all streets intersecting the event area.

Phase II

From Friday, 21 August 2026, at 6:00 a.m. until Sunday, 23 August 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

• Closure of the old town centre west of Gregorčičeva Street, including Gregorčičeva Street.

Phase III

On Friday, 21 August 2026, and Saturday, 22 August 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. the following day

• Closure of the unnamed road behind Košaki.

Phase IV

On Friday, 21 August 2026, and Saturday, 22 August 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. the following day

• Full closure of the area north of Prešernova Road.
• Access will remain possible to the Argolina and Tomažičeva car parks via Morova Street and Dantejeva Street.
• Should these car parks reach full capacity, the closure may be implemented earlier, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Phase V

On Friday, 21 August 2026, and Saturday, 22 August 2026, approximately from 9:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. the following day

• Full closure of the area north of Prešernova Road.
• This closure will take effect once the Argolina and Tomažičeva car parks have reached full capacity.

During the full road closures, no alternative routes will be available. Traffic throughout the old town of Izola and in the surrounding streets will be significantly affected.

We kindly ask all suppliers requiring access to the event area during the festival to obtain a delivery permit in advance from the organizer, Centre for Culture, Sports and Events Izola, Ulica oktobrske revolucije 1, Izola, or by calling +386 70 894 788.

We kindly ask all road users for their patience and cooperation, and to strictly follow the temporary traffic signage and the instructions of the competent traffic authorities.
