Carnival festivities at Lonka will begin on Friday, 13 February 2026 at 9:30 AM, with a morning carnival celebration for children from Izola\u2019s kindergartens and schools. The town will be filled with a colourful parade of children in carnival costumes. The celebration will be further enlivened by the traditional Kurenti, whose distinctive bells and energy will create an authentic carnival atmosphere and help chase away the winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So be brave \u2013 more imagination, more fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carnival festivities will conclude on Shrove Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at 11:00 AM with a children\u2019s carnival party at the square in front of the Izola Cultural Centre.
